I am pleased to announce that the U.S. Office of Government Ethics has selected Dale “Chip” Christopher for the position of Deputy Director for Compliance.
With 24 years of experience in government ethics, Mr. Christopher brings with him extensive expertise relevant to OGE’s oversight function. He first joined OGE in 1991 as a Management Analyst in the Program Review Division, the predecessor to the Compliance Division. He served for 15 years in the Program Review Division before being promoted to head the division in 2006. He then served as the Associate Director of the Program Services Division for two years before transitioning to OGE’s Office of General Counsel, where he was a Lead Financial Analyst. Most recently, Mr. Christopher served as the Chief of OGE’s Agency Assistance Branch, where he and his staff provided valuable guidance and support to the executive branch ethics community.
In his new role as Deputy Director, I am confident that Mr. Christopher will lead OGE in strengthening the program review function and providing vigorous oversight of the executive branch ethics program. OGE and the ethics community will benefit from his years of experience conducting reviews of agency ethics programs, providing assistance to agency ethics officials, and strengthening the relationships between OGE and agencies throughout the executive branch.
